Stokke originally started with the production of bus seats and furniture for adults when the company was founded in 1932. The collection consisted of armchairs, ergonomic seats and home office systems. The first product for children was launched in 1972 - the legendary Tripp Trapp® high chair designed by Peter Opsvik. In the late 1990s, the collection was expanded to include the Stokke® Sleepi™ cot, which grows with the child. In 2003 the label launched the first pram on the market - the innovative Stokke® Xplory®, which introduced the new concept in the industry that the child sits up with his face facing the parents. Since 2006, Stokke has concentrated exclusively on high-quality children's furniture and accessories in the market segments of highchairs, prams, baby carriers, home textiles and children's room furnishings. Today, Stokke continues its long tradition of developing intelligent, sustainable products that promote parenting and healthy development for a new generation of children and families. More than 40 years after the introduction of Tripp Trapp ®, Stokke's philosophy continues to be based on a core concept: developing products that are in the best interest of the child. All the products are designed to promote the development of the child and strengthen the bonds between parents and child. From the high prams that give the child a clear view of the parents, to the award-winning ergonomic baby carriers and the versatile range of adjustable seating solutions, Stokke always prioritizes the child's needs over everything else.
